We Welcome You To Our Home
Temple Beth
Torah is a circle of friends anchored in the values of egalitarian,
Conservative Judaism. We want to expand our circle by attracting all
Jews, young and old, families and singles, to a warm and welcoming
congregation of friends. We are here to pray together, to play
together, to learn together, and to be there for each other as we
face the joys and difficulties of our lives.
From its inception in February 1972, Temple Beth
Torah has reflected the very best in the Jewish spirit of community.
Our Temple was founded by a handful of early Tamarac pioneers who
recognized the necessity of having both a synagogue and a center for
Jewish activity. A combination of experience and hard work was then
put into action. Mirroring a growth pattern common to South Florida,
Temple Beth Torah quickly expanded from a storefront to the land
upon which our magnificent congregation now rests. And we grew from
400 families to now over 600 families. Today, Temple Beth Torah
affiliated with United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, is
recognized as being one of the premier Conservative Synagogues in
the Southeastern United States. We proudly received the Synagogue of
Excellence Award from the USCJ. With our award- winning Pre School,
acclaimed youth programs, Frame Work of Excellence Religious School,
and multi-faceted educational opportunities, Temple Beth Torah
strives to serve the needs of Jews of all ages and interests. All of
this progress has come about because of our devoted Temple Beth
Torah members. In just 33 years we have seen many dreams turn into
reality; we continue to face the challenge of the future with joy in
our hearts and energy in our spirits.
